This year’s fashion show theme, “Original Land Protectors,” honors the wisdom passed down through generations in our communities—knowledge rooted in a deep connection to Mother Earth. It is a celebration of how our people have long understood the balance between nature and humanity, learning to live in harmony by respecting the land, the water, and the food that sustains us. It is not just a cultural practice, but a moral responsibility to safeguard the earth for future generations. Through this show, we reaffirm our commitment to continue the fight to restore and protect our sacred lands, striving to bring back the harmony that was once lost.” The Sycuan Band of The Kumeyaay Nation would like to present our 2025 Sycuan Fashion Show. A place to showcase Native American talents in the field of art in the mainstream. A place to show we are beautiful, we are talented, and WE ARE STILL HERE. This year we will showcase 12 designers from all over turtle Island and their designs will be for sale after the show.
